Barbara VargasCoordinator Educational Program

Barbara is a multifaceted events coordinator, educator, and artist. She is thrilled to join the ICS Educational team.

Most recently, she served as the Artist Liaison for the Edmonton International Jazz Festival (2022). For over 10 years, she has been an integral leader in the Edmonton-area and Vancouver Tap dance community, organizing and creating a wide range of local to international events and programming.

Barbara was one of the very few tap dancers in the world to study Music, using her shoes as her major instrument at Vancouver Community College. In addition, she holds an Event Management Certificate from Mount Royal University and a Bachelor of Secondary Education from the University of Alberta.
