Aoife Hoey, Director, Housing and Registration

As Director of Housing and Registration, Aoife is excited to apply her experience from various management roles in the Hospitality and Travel industry across the glove from Hawai’i to Cannes to Dubai and Dublin. Alan Lee, Senior Manager, Projects

Born and raised in Vancouver, Alan brings with him close to fifteen years of event experience to ICS. He started his events career coordinating and managing corporate incentive programs showcasing this beautiful part of the world that he is lucky enough to call home. In 2010 following the Olympics, Alan moved over to the PCO side of the business and never looked back. Over the last ten years, he has worked with clients and associations from all over managing their meetings and conferences here in North America, Australasia, and Europe. He is grateful to have found an industry and a career that he is truly passionate about. In his spare time, you can find Alan spending time with his young family, playing recreational roller hockey, or planning the next family getaway.

Kate Phifer, Tradeshow Manager

After spending five years exploring the world, Kate returned to Vancouver to acquire her Bachelors in Tourism Management at Capilano University. Events have always been her passion and she was lucky enough to work at some amazing conferences, sporting events, and much more throughout her education. Kate’s four years at university taught her to truly value education and the opportunities that it presents. She was thrilled to join ICS as a member of the Education and Career Fair team to unite her two passions. Now, with almost four years of working at ICS, she has been able to grow with the team, and learn so much more about this ever changing and exciting industry. When Kate isn’t working, she can be found outside. Her favourite place to be is on the water in a kayak, stand up paddle board or on a boat. However, the mountains hold just as special a place in her heart and her hiking shoes are constantly in need of being replaced.
