Date: May 8, 21-22, 22-29, 2021
Location: Virtual Event

The aim of the ICNMD Congresses is to offer attendees an updated view on neuromuscular disorders and that networking opportunities increase their international experience and collaborations. The scientific and program committee are invited from all continents around the world to enable this wide spectrum.

It is our pleasure to invite you to the International Congress on Neuromuscular Diseases, ICNMD2021, taking virtually from May 8, 21-22, 28-29, 2021. The University Hospital La Fe in Valencia and the Spanish Neurological Association will be hosting the 16th edition of this biennial congress on behalf of the Applied Research Group on Neuromuscular Disorders of the World Federation of Neurology. Previous meetings were held in Nice, France in 2014, Toronto, Canada in 2016 and Vienna, Austria in 2018.

The neuromuscular specialty is a discipline continuously growing and expanding in different fields, which has resulted in the emergence of specific associations or working groups that organize monographic meetings. At the same time, there is a growing need for holistic approaches, particularly oriented to professionals dedicated to the care of patients. The objective of ICNMD2021 is to congregate clinicians and researchers from all over the world to update their knowledge and to exchange experiences on the whole spectrum of neuromuscular diseases. The program will feature novel pathogenic discoveries, innovations on diagnostic and patient management procedures, and an introduction on the administration of new therapies. Following the experience of last year’s meeting in Vienna, shared activities with patients’ associations are planned also in Valencia. As for previous editions, the scientific sessions will include plenary lectures, teaching courses, workshops and poster presentations. Distinguished professionals from all around the world have been invited to the scientific and program committees to develop an inspiring and stimulation program.
